This Blog was created by co-workers and friends of Abaynesh Awokie.  She has touched all of us with her beautiful spirit and we are honored and blessed to have known her. We grieve for her and her family, the Ethiopian community of Portland, Oregon, and the PDX Airport community. We miss you Abaynesh, but we take comfort in knowing that you are with God. Your dream lives on.

We hope that others will share their thoughts and prayers in this blog as we choose to celebrate and remember her life.  We ask for your spiritual support and if you are moved to extend monetary support through a generous donation of any amount, we will deliver these donations to her family according to their wishes.

    Miss you much Abaynesh, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know you. It is hard to find the words to say to express the feelings and emotions that overwhelm me when I think about you, see your picture, remember that day. Now I pray for your family, friends and your sky chefs family, we ALL miss you.

    Please donate what you can. It cost $12,000 to ship the remains back to Ethiopia. If everyone gave just $5.00 it could go a long way for the children ages 5 and 4 in Africa.

    2day we put Abay's flesh in to z grave.2 tell z truth,i'm so sad from z bottom of my heart.she was ...unique,beautyful,i don't know how could i describe her...i'd like to say, Dear ABAY! U r both internal& external beauty woman!
